Fall Fun!

I am NOT a winter person but I can do Fall! Especially when it is more of an Indian Summer like we have had...too bad it is snowing today. I enjoy the beautiful colors, the smells, the crisp mornings, sweaters, pumpkins, the pumpkin patch and of course a little bit of Halloween! Here is a glimpse from our Fall festivities.

We had family pictures with my dad in early October at Gardner Village and lucky for us the witches were out! If you have not been there to see them you MUST go! They are incredible! Witches all around with different themes and accessories, AMAZING! Cannon really enjoyed it this year! Sadly I didn't take very many pictures but hopefully this gives you the gist. There are definitely some cute kids in those pictures!

Here it is our infamous trip to the pumpkin patch! Cannon was so worried about getting a"wittle punkin for Brooky," that he made it his first item of business. He as then sure to pick out one for his two "best friends" mom and dad, and feeling little generous 2 for himself. Can you see the pride of his this little man and his little pumpkin as he was sure it had to be in multiple pictures! As usual, all I wanted was ONE, that's right just ONE good picture of both of my kids at the patch and yes people, the ones above are the BEST of the bunch. I guess there is always next year.
Cannon was brave enough to do the mini corn maze and now every time we drive by he is sure to point out that we "got lost on there." Perhaps they will plow the field soon. :)

And finally, this is becoming one of my FAVORITE holidays, Halloween! Cannon just loves it and it is so fun to see how excited he gets! He is still not so hot on Trick or Treating but he loves the decorations. This year we decorated our porch with our pumpkins, some misc stuff and a ScArY tReE! The Scary tree is black with orange lights and C was so excited every night for it to be "dark outside" so he could plug in the scary tree! His other fascination this year, FIRE in the pumpkins. Every day he asked me when we were going to put fire in our pumpkins. We had some pretty cool ones this year. We finally bought a carving set, why we haven't done this sooner I have NO IDEA, it made carving a cinch! So we managed to carve a "Scary house" for Cannon. Brandon did "scary guy" (a skeleton) and a cat I was assigned a funny face and some ghosts for Brooklyn. Cannon was the man in charge, giving out assignments of who was to do what. He was so excited!
This year he was a "dragon." It was really a dinosaur or maybe even an alligator, but he was convinced it was a dragon, not just any dragon "Toothless" from How to Train Your Dragon. So we let him think what he wanted and thus he was a dragon! He wanted Brooky to be Hiccup. She was not feeling so hot, so I dressed her up in a little pink tutu and called it good. No pictures of miss Brooklyn, and the only one I got of Cannon is on Millie's Camera. I know, Mother of the Year! As for the Trick or Treating, this year we made it to all of 4 houses and a trip to Grandpa Jeff's and then over to see Grandma Chris. The weather didn't help. It was cold, rainy and windy. Plus we had to wake Cannon up to go out and he was not happy about that. Again, here's to next year or perhaps my kid is going to hate every holiday that I LOVE!

That about wraps it up. Now, Cannon is set on putting up the Christmas tree. His new favorite question; "Mom do we have a Christmas tree?"
Me: "Yes, we do."
C: "Oh, so should we set it up?"
EVERY DAY he asks me this, every day! I have a feeling Christmas festivities will begin early in the Ball house this year. :)
