#13

Today's props go to the Young Women's program.  I often look at the organization of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with pure amazement! It is so complex and has so many tiers yet it seems to run with few, if any kinks.  For such a large church it is impressive that it can cater to so many individuals needs.  Last year, at a time when our Heavenly Father was mindful of my needs, I was called to be in the Young Women's Program in our ward.  I had just received a calling to continue to serve in Primary and was good with that, after all I had been there for awhile and it was comfortable and I liked it.  A few days later we had a meeting with the Bishop for what I thought was a calling for Brandon.  Turns out, they wanted to take me out of Primary and put me into the Young Women's Presidency.  It was nothing short of a shock and very spiritual experience for me for a number of reasons that I won't go into here.  Needless to say this last year has been AMAZING! I truly LOVE my calling! I LOVE the girls I serve.  I LOVE the things we are able to do with them. I LOVE watching their darling little selves and their testimonies grow.  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the ladies I get to work so closely with and I will forever cherish the friendships I have made through this calling. They truly are some of my BEST friends! I have had some of my most spiritual experiences and felt closer to our Savior than ever before, while serving in this calling and for that I will always have gratitude!

Not only have I cultivated amazing friendships and been apart of wondrous experiences but I have realized what an incredible program the Young Women's Program is.  I don't think I fully appreciated it as a youth but I can say that the inspiration of this program is absolutely divinely inspired.  I am thankful that I had the opportunity to partake of it as young women and I even more thankful that it helped shape the path I wanted my life to take.  I am thankful that I once again get to experience it and strive for continued excellence to improve myself now as a young mother, but still as a daughter of God.
In short, my heart is FULL of GRATITUDE for this INCREDIBLE program and all that is offers!
Today I am thankful for YOUNG WOMEN'S!
