Here is a recent conversation with my sweet Can-man....C: "Hey mom, where's grandma's Nemo?"
M: "I am not sure, isn't he still in the bathtub?"
"Nope, he's not!"
"Ok, well where did you put him, he was in the bathtub this morning."
"He went to find his dad."
"What do you mean, he went to find his dad?"
"He was sad and wanted his dad, so I put him in the toilet."
"You flushed him down the toilet?"
"YEP! He wanted his dad, so he went in the toilet to the ocean."
"You know he is not coming back right?"
"Yep, he wen to get his dad in the ocean mom."
M: "I am not sure, isn't he still in the bathtub?"
"Nope, he's not!"
"Ok, well where did you put him, he was in the bathtub this morning."
"He went to find his dad."
"What do you mean, he went to find his dad?"
"He was sad and wanted his dad, so I put him in the toilet."
"You flushed him down the toilet?"
"YEP! He wanted his dad, so he went in the toilet to the ocean."
"You know he is not coming back right?"
"Yep, he wen to get his dad in the ocean mom."
Seriously, this DID happen! Cannon borrowed these squirt bath toys from my mom, one of them just happened to look like Nemo. I'm not sure when Nemo's departure actually took place, but it was sometime in between a morning bath for Brooklyn and an evening bath for Cannon. Good Luck Nemo, I hope you find your dad in the "ocean!"
