Labor Day!

We started the weekend off with a trip to Heber City for the Sheep Dog Festival. It was really cool! Sounds weird I know but, it was fun! There were dogs jumping into pools, rounding up sheep and lots of other activities! Here's the bad thing, Cannon had a major leakage on the way up and I didn't pack another outfit for him. (silly mom thinking he's two and we are so past the extra outfit stage!) Well all I had was a hoodie for him, and it just happened to be his BYU hoodie. So he was walking around basically naked, in his diaper, his BYU hoodie and his sandals. I was waiting for his soaking wet clothes to dry out so I could put them back on. Brandon was SO EMBARRASSED! He kept saying, "O my gosh, we have 'that' child. You know, the one that everyone looks at thinking, they must be super Mormons, and they don't even make their kid wear pants!" For someone who loves BYU as much as B, it was quite funny that he had such feelings! The clothes dried, we put them back on just in time to head home. :) Here's the funniest part, Brandon was so mad that I didn't pack an extra outfuit, and claimed that he ALWAYS packs one. Haha yeah right, he barely remembers the diapers and wipes. Nice try! Love you honey! Sorry, no pics of that beautiful moment!

We spent most of Labor Day at one of our favorite places! The Back of the Moon, or the Ball family cabin, whichever works. Brandon and his uncles were chopping wood and stocking up for the winter. I must say that is some pretty intense labor. But with lots of helping hands it was quickly done. I however basked in the sunlight streaming through the tree tops, visited and chased Cannon around!

Cutting up trees (don't worry, they were already down and dead, we protect the forest.)

We love the cabin and feel so very lucky to have such a place to go to. Brandon has so many memories there and we are very fortunate to be creating our own family memories. One of my first memories of the cabin, well that is where Brandon and I had our first kiss. Sweet I know! Who would have guessed nearly ten years a go that we would have ended up with our own little family. Maybe Cannon will score his first kiss on a cabin date. Haha!

Cannon loves the slide and the zip line. He could spend all day going between the two.

Cannon and Brandon on the Zip line!

"Slip sliding away..."

I couldn't believe how busy it was! The main road going into the cabin was packed! There must have been a few hundred people hiking Donut Falls that day because I don't ever remember seeing such a crowd. Lucky for us we have our own little getaway!
It was the perfect outing topped off with the perfect meal, CAFE RIO! Then we had to take Brandon to the airport, not so perfect but I sure am glad I got to hang out with my boys!
