G-O-A-L

Ok, so maybe we haven't really scored a goal, but Cannon is playing soccer! He is so funny about it. He gets all pumped up and dressed in is game day uniform, only to get to the game and decide he isn't really sure if he wants to play. Let's just say we have made some vast improvements from game one, which was spent on the bleachers in tears, and our bribes have become less involved. I may have started him a bit too early but hey, I wanted him to be active! He is pretty good to play, but about half time he decides he "needs a break." I think he gets exhausted because he makes the funniest faces ever!

He is playing with his cousin Sawyer and a couple of boys from our neighborhood. Most of the time when Cannon and Sawyer are on the court together they spend it like this...

(this picture isn't the greatest but you can see the boys in the background holding hands)
Yes they are holding hands and running after the ball, or in circles, depending on their mood.

I missed picture day but Brandon tells me it was spent much like this...
with little cooperation and lots of tears, mostly from C! I think we actually told them to make funny faces in this picture. Sawyer left early this day so sadly he isn't in the pic. These are the boys from the hood, Tate and Jackson. Don't they look adorable in their shorts, jerseys, shin guards and those soccer socks?!

Every game we have noticed improvement with our little Cannon Ball. Last week we almost did score a goal. We can only hope the trend continues! Either way, we have enjoyed this little taste of the sporting life. Overall I think Cannon has too, who knows maybe next year we will trade in the tears and craziness for a real GOAL!
Good job Buddy!
