Stewart Reunion 2011

Another year another reunion. Last year my grandpa was too sick to go anywhere so we did a day of fun and a day of service. This year was much the same. We started off with a day of fun at Ross Park where Cannon the FISH displayed a hint of manliness and perhaps a glimpse of the end of the "pansy boy" phase and the beginning of "manhood!" Wahoo!

There is a large water slide at Ross Park and we debated on whether or not to let C do it. It could go one of two ways. One: TERRIBLY with tears, fears and the possibility of future scaring. Two: GREAT! Lucky for us C decided upon option 2!
This is a really crappy picture of a really tall tower that you had to climb to go down the water slide. Add to that the 5minute pool break he had to take once he reached the top of the tower I thought for sure he would be taking the long walk down. He proved me wrong!
Here is Cannon at the end of the slide. Still sitting up and laughing! You could hear him giggling the whole way down. It was too cute.

Here he is with "Wia," dad and VICTORY! He spent the remainder of the day going on that slide. It may have been the best $5bucks we spent that day. :)

That night we camped out grandma Dixie's. Yep in a tent! A few of our peeps even rolled their trailers and motor homes down to grandmas. It was quite a sight (SITE..haha), with Kamille giving haircuts outside in the moonlight and all. I can only imagine what the neighbors were saying. Oh those CRAZY Stewarts!

Saturday we had a delicious pancake breakfast and then it was off to work. Since my grandpa passed away there is plenty of work to do and add to that the fact that Dix has decided to move we all had to work hard in an effort to help her prepare for the up coming event. We spent the day cleaning,

painting,

going through boxes,

doing yard work,
trips to the dump and DI and most importantly spending time with grandma and one another.

The kids had a blast on the bouncy house and blow up water slide making me wish I was still a kid.

It may not sound like the funnest of reunions but I will tell you when you see tears of gratitude it makes all the sweat worth it. Here's to next year...perhaps we could return to the old tradition of Bear Lake. :) However, a little service goes a long way! :) Thanks for another memorable year aunt Sandra and thanks to one pretty awesome family.
We love you grandma!
