Stewart Family Reunion '12

The first weekend in August is always set a side for a few days for a CraZy Stewart family gathering! It usually involves a tent, LOTS of food, crazy aunties, a campfire and lots of FUN. This year we went to the Mountain River Ranch just north of Idaho Falls. It was a quaint little campground and just right for our crazy brood.

We spent an afternoon swimming at Heise.  (Which I don't remember being as for Knox-ish as it was and it was freaking expensive for pretty much nothing.) We used to go there all the time when we were growing up and I am pretty sure I remembered why we stopped.  Oh well, the water slide was fun and the kids had a good time.  Sorry, no pics, but truly this place isn't very picture worthy to begin with.

We were filled to the brim with delicious food thanks to the chef uncle Voyd D. and his chef mate aunt Wendi.  We even experienced a few Canadian treats such as homemade french fries with some yummo gravy drizzled on top.  (Sorry Kandice, I don't recall the proper name.) Some delicious buttermilk syrup on our pancakes and of course the ever popular peanut butter bars.  The list could go on, because we ate and we ate good.  Stewart's don't mess around with their food and we do it good! :)

This year the reunion also included a golf cart from the craziest grandma out there, my mother! So, the days were filled with chasing, swimming, snacking, games and and taking turn after turn on this...

 Crazy granny Chris...taking another spin!
I know, it's weird that my parents own a gigantic golf cart and they don't even golf.  But I will tell you it has provided more entertainment at family gatherings than anything else in my memory.  It's a hit!

The evenings were full of a little bit of this...

Campfires, glow sticks, delirium, chats and some of this.....
yep...I know you have both been waiting for these pics! I must really LOVE you, you made it onto the blog etched in permanent Ball Family history! Love you guys!

The Stewart Family Re-union never disappoints.
Here's to next year, more pics, more crazies and of course more food!

That golf cart was the best $3000 they ever spent! I think your mom secretly wants to drive it ALL the time :)
