Somewhere between the time I brought home a perfect 9lb baby boy and the year 2012 I ended up blinking a little too fast and then this happened.....
Meet the 2012 Preschool Graduate!
Yes, it almost brings me to tears just writing this! I can't believe Cannon is done with his preschool career! He has absolutely LOVED every minute of it and has had the most AMAZING teacher for the past two years! Seriously, this kid has learned so much! I wish I could mold myself into the Rachel version of Miss Amy! Not going to happen, so instead I will just be eternally thankful for everything she has done for my Cannon Ball!
I kid you not, she is the ZEN master! LOVE HER! We will miss her so much, at least until Brooklyn enters preschool.
They had a darling program where they talked about and showed all the things they learned this year! The sang some songs, did some dances and gave us a book full of the wonderful creations that no doubt improved over the year.
One of my favorite songs was "Don't worry be Happy!" I knew they had been practicing it because the musically inclined Can-man would break into song "Here's a little song I wrote, I'm gonna sing it to ya note by note...don't worry be happy!" So freaking cute! I cried during this song because I couldn't help but start to worry! We are officially out of the bubble and into the mean and cruel world of public school and my baby is growing up! All tears aside, Cannon learned more than a song. He learned about his choices, consequences, being a good person in the community, family etc. He learned that he is "Cannon and he is AWESOME." He learned to make healthy choices for his body and that soda is bad so the next time we walk to the Mav I should get water instead of a soda. He learned about exercise and the importance of knowledge. He learned to share and get along with people and that everybody can be friends. But most importantly he learned that he "can do ANYTHING!" Which he reminds of frequently!
After the program it was time to PARTY! We had such a fun evening at Airborne! It is basically a giant indoor trampoline with a zip line, soft blocks, trampoline walls etc. Super fun! Even Brooky and her little betrothed boyfriend Hewston loved it! It was a rockin' party for a bunch of preschoolers that's for sure!
Cannon taught us all so many things these last 2 years. He taught us that he is one smart kid! He reminds us to make good choices, to have fun and enjoy life and how to love so much more than we could even imagine! The older he gets, the more crazy about out Can-man we get. He really is AWESOME!
Congrats on the big graduation buddy!
